ITLaw provides:

We provide legal services under Canadian jurisdiction. We are not a multinational law firm and do not offer regulated legal advice in other jurisdictions unless coordinated with licensed local counsel.

A solicitor-client relationship is only formed upon written engagement agreement.
To engage our services, you must:

Legal services are billed at flat rates or hourly, as agreed in writing
All pricing is in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and subject to applicable taxes
Payment terms are outlined in each engagement letter
Late payments may result in service pauses or collection measures
Invoices are delivered electronically and payment is accepted via EFT, card, or secure third-party links.
All communications and materials provided in the context of legal advice are held in strict confidence and protected under solicitor-client privilege.
We will not disclose any client data without:
Written client authorization
Legal requirement (e.g., court order or subpoena)
Risk of harm requiring ethical disclosure under governing laws
You may not:
Copy, distribute, or resell any document templates or resources without a license
Reproduce proprietary articles or checklists without permission
Represent ITLaw’s resources as your own legal work
We protect our intellectual property through legal and technical measures.
Either party may terminate legal services in accordance with the terms of engagement. Upon termination:
You will receive a final invoice
We retain the right to archive your file securely
You remain responsible for fees incurred up to the date of termination
ITLaw is not liable for:
Business losses resulting from decisions made without full legal review
Third-party service failures (e.g., delayed trademark office filings)
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Total liability is limited to the value of services rendered in the immediate engagement.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Richmond or Vancouver, BC.
We reserve the right to revise these Terms as needed. Users will be notified of significant updates via website notices or email (where applicable).
